Crashing handhelds and an unresponsive WMS provider were slowing down one of the Mid-Atlantic's largest parcel shippers. Here's how a weekend go-live with ScanForce put fulfillment speed and data accuracy back on solid ground.

A WMS that couldn't keep up with a growing warehouse.
Before implementing ScanForce in 2021, A&A Global was experiencing costly interruptions in warehouse processing. Its warehouse management system would cause handheld device crashes, freezes, and data loss that the WMS provider could not resolve.
On top of that, the previous WMS provider delayed the release of a Sage 2020-compatible version, forcing the A&A Global team to stay on an outdated, unsupported version of Sage 100. Frequent system crashes meant employees had to repeat work, which pushed out order fulfillment.
“As our business continues to grow, so do the requirements of our warehouses,” said Brett Johnson, A&A Global’s IT Director. “We needed a supplier who was able to keep up with our needs.”
Device Crashes & Data Loss
Handhelds froze and crashed regularly, and lost data the previous WMS provider couldn't recover.
Unresponsive Support
Support requests went unresolved, leaving recurring issues to disrupt operations again and again.
Stuck on Outdated Sage
A delayed Sage 2020 update left the team stranded on an unsupported version of Sage 100.
Fulfillment Delays
Repeated work from system crashes slowed down one of the Mid-Atlantic's largest FedEx parcel shippers.
A go-live in a weekend, not weeks.
After enduring frustration, shipment delays, and unresolved support requests, A&A Global opted for a new solution, ultimately selecting ScanForce’s Warehouse Management System, built with safeguards to protect data integrity and system stability.
When an unexpected situation arose on a Thursday and A&A Global needed to expedite its go-live by several weeks, the ScanForce team worked through the weekend to deploy the solution without prior notice. By Sunday afternoon, the go-live was complete. Employees arrived Monday morning and started using ScanForce immediately, with no significant operational disturbance.
Because staff were already familiar with working on handheld devices, it took just one hour of training to get the team up to speed and ready to go.
Data Integrity Safeguards
A handheld communication protocol for data processing eliminates the potential for data loss.
Rapid, Disruption-Free Rollout
An expedited weekend deployment got the team live by Monday with only an hour of training needed.
