Contact UsVoile Manufacturing turned an 8-hour packing list into a job that takes seconds.
Growth had outpaced Voile's manual warehouse processes, but automating felt like a daunting leap. Here's how ScanForce's mobile data capture technology made the jump easy, and gave the team "countless hours" back, improving their manufacturing inventory management.

Growth outpaced the tools built to handle it.
When Utah-based Voile Manufacturing decided in 2018 that it was time to automate their warehouse processes through mobile barcode technology, they knew their growth had led them to a place where they were experiencing inefficiencies due to a lack of automation. But implementing a solution seemed like a daunting task.
How long would it take to implement? Would there be issues with the hardware? Would the staff adopt the new technology?
When they first implemented Sage 100 in 2004, the company was much smaller. They knew of available barcode technologies at the time but didn’t feel their size or operations warranted what they perceived to be a major project. By 2018, with three separate divisions in place, each with its own workflows, they knew it was time to face the challenge.
Growth Outpacing Manual Process
Rising volume exposed the inefficiencies of running a growing warehouse without automation.
Uncertainty About Implementation
Open questions about timeline, hardware fit, and staff adoption made automation feel daunting.
Three Divisions, Three Workflows
Separate divisions each ran their own processes, adding complexity to any future solution.
Hours Lost to Manual Tasks
Simple tasks, like producing a packing list, ate up hours the growing team didn't have to spare.
A solution built for how Voile already worked.
Voile first discussed their needs with their Sage partner, Wayne Schulz of Schulz Consulting, who made the introduction to ScanForce. The ScanForce team worked with Voile to understand the pain caused by having too many manual processes in the warehouse.
Having worked with many top manufacturing companies on Sage 100, ScanForce proposed a solution that combined its proprietary mobile data capture technology with the optimal hardware devices for Voile’s warehouse environment — all with seamless integration to Sage 100.
“Having worked with ScanForce in the past, I knew that they would have the right solution to help Voile achieve the speed and accuracy improvements they needed while making the implementation process easy and seamless,” Schulz said.
Proprietary Mobile Data Capture
ScanForce's own mobile technology replaces the manual processes slowing down the warehouse.
Optimal Hardware Fit
Devices selected specifically for Voile's warehouse environment, not a one-size-fits-all kit.
Seamless Sage 100 Integration
Built on deep experience with Sage 100 manufacturers, for a quick, low-friction implementation.
A task that once ate a full workday now finishes before you sit down.
It would literally take them 8 hours to create a packing list... now we can output it in seconds.
ScanForce "plugs into so many parts of the business."
As General Manager David Grissom put it, ScanForce reaches into nearly every corner of Voile’s operations — here’s where the improvement has shown up most.
