If you have items in transit to you – perhaps items are stuck on the water – and you’ve taken ownership of the inventory for accounting purposes but don’t want the items reflected in inventory as available for sales, use Container Receipt Management.
How it works:
In Sage, create a Receipt of Goods for the PO, and enter the Container Number. Multiple orders can be tied to a given Container. Receive the items to a virtual warehouse that won’t be available for order fulfillment.
When the items arrive at the warehouse, use the ScanForce device to receive the items by performing a Warehouse Transfer from the virtual warehouse to the one that can be used for fulfillment.
Container Receipt Management is an optional add-on available for all versions of ScanForce.
